Anthurium House is an incredibly spacious (1,061 square feet) one bedroom condo unit (most one bedrooms on the island are 500-750 square feet). It comfortably sleeps four (max occupancy) with a California King in the large master and a brand new pull-out queen sleeper sofa with upgraded memory foam mattress in the living room. The bedroom is down the hall on the opposite end of the unit from the living area, so it is a great set-up for privacy and naps. (Many condo bedrooms are just separated from the living area by a sliding pocket door — not ideal if you have kids or fellow travelers that like to stay up late.) Our L-shape sofa in the living room allows you to spread out and get comfortable while enjoying the brand new 55″ LG 4K mounted flat screen TV.

Also included are two full bathrooms (updated in 2016); one with a glass shower surround and the other includes a full tub with grab bar. Cool off with air conditioning and ceiling fans in the bedroom and living area (Caution: not all Maui condos offer A/C!).

We’ve stayed in dozens of different condo units on Maui over the past two decades. Many either lack personality or are cluttered and overdone in Hawaiian décor. When we purchased Anthurium House, we wanted to offer guests a more modern approach to Hawaiian living. The unit features driftwood, succulents, sea glass and Maui photography on canvas.

The condo was almost completely renovated in October 2017 and received new furniture, bedding, stainless steel appliances, paint, ceiling fans, lighting, art and décor. While the cabinets and countertops are still original, the unit is very clean and clutter free.

Anthurium House offers guests free high-speed internet/WiFi, cable, cordless telephone (with free unlimited calls anywhere in the US and Canada!), washer/dryer with a starter packet of laundry soap, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, and an in-room safe. The unit also includes chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkel equipment and fins, sand toys, and other beach items. Relax after a long day with our growing collection of DVDs, books and games.
